What’s in my Wardrobe? – Marc Konnari

What item in your wardrobe do you love the most?

My most favourite wardrobe item is definitely my pattern print, summer co-ord that I got from River Island. The piece together is matching, and gives off ultimate 80’s disco vibes – without losing too much modern-day casual style. The piece was perfect to wear for the sunny, Ibiza pool parties I attended, as the shorts were convenient enough to double as a pair of swimming trunks. Another of my favourite items are my white, Valentino GARAVANI Rockstud Untitled Trainers; nothing is quite as satisfying than a pair of brand new, pearly white sneaks.

What is the oldest item in your wardrobe?

The oldest item in my wardrobe is a vintage, oversized black Playboy sweatshirt I picked up from COW VINTAGE. The store itself is an amazing abundance of redesigned retro wear, perfect for both boys and girls. I got mine from the one in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, however the label now market across the country, including Nottingham, Birmingham, Liverpool and Sheffield. The sweatshirt is something I can constantly rely on to wear around campus or for shopping in town. Matching with a pair of ripped, fitted jeans, the look it gives creates an ideal balance between stylishness and comfort.

Do you have an item you wear all the time?

With spending most of my time on campus, my Kenzo backpack is an absolute necessity for carrying all my things: my laptop, stationery, textbooks – plus, it glows in the dark! I would also say I spend a lot of time in my black, Off-White cap. It can be chucked whenever, for whatever. Most days I’m much too lazy to be sorting my hair out, so the cap gives me an alternate to still exude that effortless look.

Any fashion faux pas?

One of my biggest fashion failures probably has to come from my phases of wearing branded, muscle-tight t-shirts, sponsored by the likes of reality stars like Gary Beadle and Alex Bowen. Most came from the companies SikSilk and Condemned Nation. At the time, I thought shopping at these places was so cool, but looking back I feel extremely basic.

What have you got your eye on next?

Well, I recently won a UNiDAYS Instagram competition for a £100 voucher at H&M, and to put it simply I just cannot wait to buy a haul from there as soon as my voucher arrives in the post. Hopefully, I can find something from H&M’s current collaboration with Moschino, and maybe a new winter coat; the weather is just getting a bit too cold.
