So, tell us about your holy grails?

My favourite products that have, for me, stood the ultimate test of time would probably be Urban Decay’s NAKED palette (in all its forms), Soap & Glory’s Supercat eyeliner, and Rimmel’s Match Perfection foundation in the shade light porcelain. It’s light to medium coverage means that I can just slap it on whatever look I’m going for, and it is still to this day the only drugstore foundation that matches my skin tone. I’m also a huge lover of false lashes; Eyelure, GWA, and Superdrug’s own-brand are some of my best purchases.

You are heading to a desert island and can only pack 5 cosmetics: go!

The list would probably follow a similar pattern to that of my holy grails. I think I’d make sure to have some kind of makeup remover or wipes on hand though too, if they count. A more definitive list would include the NAKED HEAT palette, Rimmel’s Match Perfection foundation and setting powder, in addition to a matte lipstick – my favourite GOSH in shade Cinnamon.

Skincare routines are so popular these days, tell us about yours?

In terms of a routine, I use a gentle cleanser like NIVEA to wash my face in the morning. I follow this up with Lush’s Dream Cream (this product is a MUST for those with super sensitive, eczema-prone skin), and a primer water. The PS Primer Water from Primark has been a good dupe for Urban Decay, I’ve found. I then go on to add a green- tinted primer, like Rimmel Insta CC Primer, or Barry M flawless correction primer.

Got any beauty hacks?

This probably isn’t a very niche hack, but I use olive oil and sugar to exfoliate rather than a body scrub! It gets the job done without breaking your bank balance, and leaves your skin feeling lovely and soft. Using olive oil when shaving your legs also works really well too!

Any products you wouldn’t recommend?

Might be a bit controversial, but I’m not that much of a fan of Kat Von D’s products. Having used her foundation, I found it didn’t really sit well on my skin; the formula seemed to separate easily. Whilst commendation may be awarded for her huge range of matte lipstick shades that I like, again the formula let me down, appearing to dry up and crack easily.

This or That?

Full Glam or Natural? Full glam! Whilst I rock the natural look most days, I really enjoy putting on a full face and experimenting with eye makeup in particular.

Moisturiser or Primer? Moisturiser definitely, my skin is too dry.

Foundation or Concealer? Foundation. I don’t often wear concealer, I’d much prefer a BB cream or foundation for general wear.

Eyeliner or Mascara? Mascara, I love a big lash!

Bronzer or Highlighter? Highlighter

Lipstick or Lipgloss? Lipstick! I love going for a matte style.

Who are your biggest beauty influences?

My beauty gurus include Juliana Horner – you can find her makeup brand on Instagram at @claropsyche, Jeffree Star, and Alexa Chung. I’m all for an eclectic mix of casual, effortlessness, Parisian chic, with a dash of exuding 100 % extraness.

Got your eye on anything special?

Urban Decay’s Beached eyeshadow palette really tickles my fancy at the moment. I’d also love to splash out on getting micro-pigmented eyebrows, I think then my beauty routine would be kept to a minimum.
